Real Estate Tips: San Diego Short Term Rental Law Update
/ Morgan KingBack in July 2018, after three years of debate, the San Diego council voted to enact regulations on short term rentals (renting for under 30 days), only allowing short term rentals on primary residences. Thus, investor properties or secondary residences would no longer be able to short term rent out their places. The result was a strong backlash from the community, where some were very pleased with the result and others were very unhappy. Due to this, the week of October 22nd, the council came together again, and watch as I explain the result of that meeting and the impact on the legislation.
